Practicing Recycling

Following Cardboard Capers, the children have been practicing recycling.

After this exciting project, we brainstormed on ways to reduce the amount of rubbish we produce at Kindy, and after some fun experiments, we have decided to RECYCLE!!! All our scraps now go to our happy fat worms, and all our containers are washed and reused in collage opportunities. We are even having a go at making our own paper using recycled newspapers…. stay tuned for more pics as our projects continue.

Kenmore Park Kindergarten for 3-5 year olds
Great article on music. Does anyone have some feedback on this. I thought it was great to be reminded of all the language benefits music holds for children. I know it’s k-2 , but many of the concepts translate to our setting and even 3 year old.Young children may ask for the same song to be repeated over and over again. Have you ever stopped to consider how these experiences are contributing to children's language development? Read more about this in David Wassink's article: www.alea.edu.au/documents/item/1004 ...
